Renee Gluth Culotta

Class of 1989

Labor and Employment Lawyer

From a young age, Renee Culotta dreamed about being an attorney. “The allure of arguing a case in a courtroom was very exciting to me. Not only did McGehee provide me with the confidence to pursue my dreams, but, more importantly, with the fundamental tools to achieve them.”

Renee has found practicing law to be every bit as rewarding as she had hoped. For the past 25 years she has worked as a litigator, defending discrimination and harassment lawsuits and Constitutional claims in courts throughout the United States. Renee has been admitted to the United States Supreme Court and selected as a part of the Best Lawyers in America.

Renee is a partner at the Frilot law firm in New Orleans. She and her husband Jacob are the proud parents of Emma, an eighth grader at McGehee, and Joseph, a senior at Newman.

“McGehee instilled a love of learning and an intellectual curiosity that remains with me through today. Every case presents an opportunity to learn something new, not just about the law, but about people, their perspectives and motivations. I have been fortunate in my career to tackle big issues—from First Amendment Free Speech issues to upholding the vaping laws in Louisiana. I love the challenge.”
