Tahj Williams

Class of 2016

Support Engineer, Microsoft

Known by many as "Queen Tahj", Tahj Williams is passionate about the Mardi Gras Indian culture that she became interested in at the age of nine. Tahj worked her way up to the title of "Second Queen" of the Golden Eagles tribe. Tahj meticulously hand-beaded and sewed her own Mardi Gras Indian Queen costumes annually, never wearing the same costume. Her intricate, artistic works stunned onlookers and caught the eye of the press; she was featured in teenVogue, commercials for the City of New Orleans, and ad campaigns for local products. Tahj graduated from Tulane University in May of 2020 with a degree in Information Technology. She recently accepted a job offer from Microsoft as a Support Engineer and is relocating to Dallas for this position.
