2nd Grade Holi Celebration

Holi, also known as Dhulandi, is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated annually across India, with different regions celebrating with different traditions. Our second graders had the chance to celebrate Holi on Wednesday and throwing gulaal (colored powder) all over each other was a wonderful way to usher in the festival of love and light. Celebrations worldwide also include lighting bonfires and dancing to traditional music. Our second grade girls loved this experience.

Founded in 1912 and located on a one-of-a-kind campus in the Garden District of New Orleans, McGehee is a private, independent, all-girls pre-K, kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school.
