Students in Cree Merriman-Jourdain's Second Grade class celebrated Diwali yesterday. Diwali is one of the most popular festivals of Hinduism and symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, or good over evil. On Monday, Dr. Kewalramani visited 2B to help the class celebrate. Students made clay tea candle holders in art class, Rieya K. '33 distributed sweets to the class, and they made a beautiful rangoli.
