NAIS Student Diversity Leadership Conference

NAIS Student Diversity Leadership Conference (SDLC) is a diverse gathering of student leaders from U.S. and international independent high schools, emphasizing self-reflection, ally formation, and community building. Guided by a diverse facilitation team, students focus on cross-cultural communication, social justice strategies, allyship, and networking basics. ⁣

Attending this People of Color Conference (POCC) in St. Louis, along with Coaches Val Whitfield-Dunn and Amy Nusbaum, are Gabby Johnson '24, Ana King '25, Josie Leyens '25, and Maliah McKenna '25. We can't wait to learn more from our students about this year's theme, "Bending the Arc Toward Justice: Radical Optimism, Transformational Joy, Resilience, and Brilliance."⁣

Founded in 1912 and located on a one-of-a-kind campus in the Garden District of New Orleans, McGehee is a private, independent, all-girls pre-K, kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school.
