Deputy Chief, Geotechnical Branch, US Army Corps of Engineers

April Falcon-Villa is a licensed professional civil engineer in the state of Louisiana.  She attended the University of New Orleans and obtained her BS and MS degrees in Civil & Environmental Engineering.  She also received her Risk Management Certification from Notre Dame of Maryland University in 2018.  April began her career as a Structural Engineer at Lanier & Associates, NOLA and later accepted a similar position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 2001 where she continues her work.  At the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, her career has taken many turns and afforded her opportunities to serve our great state and our nation.

She currently is the Deputy Chief of Geotechnical Branch-Engineering Division at USACE-New Orleans District.  She oversees a staff of nearly 50 Geotechnical Engineers, Geologist, Environmental Engineers, Engineering Technicians, Geotechnical Lab and Subsurface Soil Exploration Drilling Field Members.  April recently celebrated her 20 year anniversary with USACE.
