E. Lee Jahncke Mead is a professional artist and decorative painter renowned for her custom-painted work on architectural surfaces. Specializing in murals, wood graining, marbling, gilding, decorative plasters, and Trompe L’oeil and Grisaille, she has transformed both residential and commercial spaces with her artistry.

In September 2024, E. Lee was featured and celebrated as a 2024 Design Master in New Orleans Magazine, showcasing her innovative contributions to the design world. She is also known for her ability to turn found and custom furniture into extraordinary pieces that enhance her clients’ homes.

E. Lee graduated from the College of Charleston and received formal training from the North American Chapter of The City and Guilds of London Institute at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. Reflecting on her time at McGehee, she notes, “The Honor Code teaches us to cultivate honor within ourselves, creating an environment where we are accepted and admired for our unique abilities.”
